Nurturing the Cyber Olympians of Tomorrow

BlockCyber is excited to be selected by the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore to train and nurture some of Singapore’s best young talents under the inaugural Singapore Cyber Olympian(SGCO) program!  The SGCO program aims to build a pool of passionate young Singaporeans with deeper technical skills to represent Singapore in overseas competitions and support Singapore’s drive towards a cybersecurity hub with deep indigenous capabilities.

Through a technical selection trial, SGCO takes in young talents aged 29 years and below and include some of the best from junior colleges, polytechnics, universities, fresh graduates and young working adults.  The Olympians are put through deeply technical monthly sparring sessions and bespoke training led by cyber trainers and experts.  Intermediate and advanced cyber topics including privilege escalation, lateral movement, web exploitations, digital forensics, threat intelligence, binary and reverse malware will be covered as part of the program.  To complement the learning of technical skills, the Olympians will get special exposure to OT Security and talks and mentors by various industry leaders from NTU, Cloudsine, government agencies, etc.

The program also involves selecting Olympians to represent Singapore in regional and international cyber competitions such as ASEAN Cyber SEA Games and various reputable Capture-the-Flag(CTF) competitions such as defcon, hitcon, etc.

At the end of the program, not only will the Olympians greatly improve their cyber skills and industry knowledge, they will be encouraged to complete industry cyber certifications such as OSCP, CEH Master and GCIH, which will pave the way for them to an exciting career in the cyber security industry!
