Digital Learning Paths for Youths Aged 15-16

At Blockcyber, we believe in enriching and empowering people in good digital skills from a young age.  Besides the traditional English, Maths, Science, etc subjects taught in schools, we believe that kids and youths can also pick up the new digital ABCDs.  Our young kids may not become immediate experts in the Digital ABCDs.  However, it is important they get early exposure and understanding at an early age.  It is no different from learning a new language such as Spanish, French or Japanese. It is always good to start young.

Unlike mature subjects like Maths, Science, or English, there is often no official or standard curriculum for digital subjects. As such, based on our experience in digital knowledge and teaching youths/kids from different countries and age groups, we have developed clear learning paths and curriculum so that kids and youths can learn in a structured and consistent manner.  There are many ways and many paths to learn, but we believe that any kid/youth that follows our Learning Paths will benefit greatly and have a great foundation to digital skills.

Learning Paths for Youths Aged 15-16 years old

It is still not too late to learn coding!  Youths at this age are reaching the peak of their learning abilities.  They can absorb and learn coding concepts very fast.   If they have not done any coding before, let’s start them off with text-based programming using Python.  We start with Python instead of Scratch because the former is  the real programming language commonly used in the real world.  Once they have grasped the fundamentals of Python, there are so many exciting paths they can choose.  Those who have done Introductory Python can go straight to Intermediate Python, Introductory Cybersecurity skills class,  Building a website and even Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.  There are even advanced classes in Blockchain, CyberSecurity and Artificial Intelligence/Data Analytics that they can take!

This is a suggested path and not the only path for your youths to learn/start.  If your youth already has a good foundation in Python, he/she can go straight to the Intermediate classes.

We plan for this path to be one that will give them a structured foundation and inspire their curiosity and interest to learn more.

Note that not all classes may be available yet as we are still in the midst of developing them.  But we are definitely excited to share/teach the youths once they are ready!
